“Last Orders” is a regular magazine column in which we ask noteworthy Beijingers to imagine their final meal before leaving the city for good. This month’s host is Kadi Hughes, Director, Bookworm International Literary Festival .
The venue
World Park. I love that there are major buildings and monuments from around the globe – built with absolutely no attention to scale or geography. The White House is on the island of Manhattan and Stonehenge is as big as the Eiffel Tower. You can ride camels, feed peacocks, and storm a pirate ship wearing a polyester monstrosity that is equal parts Little Bo Peep and gutter wench. Our party would tour the grounds in the park’s golf carts, dining at a different monument for each course.
